Major Kira Nerys

Major Kira is the first officer on DS9. During the Cardassian occupation of Bajor Kira was a member of the Shakaar Resistance call. Due to an accident on a runabout Keiko O'Brien was injured and was in danger of losing her baby so Dr. Bashir trasfered the baby to Kira and she saw it to term.
