Quark runs the bar on the DS9 promenade. He recently had his buiness licence rovoked by the FCA (Ferengi Commerce Authority) for breaking a contract with another Ferengi. His licence was restored later by Brunt when Quark helped him break up the relationship between Grand Nagus Zek and Quarks Mother Moogie. Quark's brother is Rom. Quark started the bar against his cousins advice who said he should go into selling weapons, but Quark likes to interact with his customers.
